Contemporary Israel suddenly finds itself moved to the beginning of
World War II.  They have 1985 technology and a knowledge of history.
We assume that intervention can alter the history.
  The plot will depend quite a lot on the exact date
chosen.  Its project is to save the European Jews.

1943 - The holocaust is well under way.  So is the Allied grand
offensive.  Israel must use its F-15s and its (we'll presume they
exist or can quickly be created) nuclear weapons to save as many
Jews as possible.  They have to persuade or threaten Roosevelt and
Churchill into giving saving the Jews a high priority.

1939 August - Between the Soviet-German non-agression pact and the
German attack on Poland on September 1.  Perhaps Hitler can be
intimidated.

We assume that leakage of information about technology and history
can't be prevented.  World leaders and people are shocked by the
leaking of the consequences of their intended actions.  Perhaps
Chamberlain tries to prevent Churchill from becoming Prime Minister.
The fact that America got into the war anyway has its effect.
Stalin's ambitions are increased by knowledge of his success.
The Japanese decide not to attack Pearl Harbor.

Another possibility is to ignore the leakage of information.
